This time we will make a tile patio table. As we know that the tile table is a table that complements the look of our patio. It is a project that we can do ourselves to prepare some of the requirement:
(1) an old patio table with a width of between 26-30 inches
(3) tape measure
(4) 1/2 inch plywood sheets
(5) a piece of cardboard. How do we making it? read more bellow to consider the guidelines.
Make two 30-inch diameter circles on the plywood with a pencil, then cut and we will get the same two circles. After that, place a piece of cardboard on a piece of plywood and cut to the desired tabletop size using scissors. Then, glue construction adhesive on the top of two circles that we created earlier. Put both in the same position and align the edges. Secure the ring with the two clamps and wait until the construction adhesive is completely dry (approximately 6 hours). After 6 hours, remove the clamps and sand the edges of the circle using sandpaper. Next step is to apply two coats of waterproof membrane in two circles using a roller and wait for at least a day so that the membrane is completely dry.
Design drawings on a piece of cardboard with a pencil as a guide tile (1 design could consist of two intersecting lines or concentric circles). Set of two circles on a table or bench and then give thinset (an adhesive mortar made of cement) on the back edge with a distance of 1 inch tiles using a trowel and set the edge of the circle. We can apply the thinset to add a tile and place it around the edge of the disc and leave it for one day. Move the design from cardboard to two circles with a mark on the edges. Picture two lines intersect in a circle to form 4 pieces quadrant. Apply thinset on one quadrant using a shovel and set the tile on thinset. Wait for the thinset to dry for approximately 12 hours. Apply the grout on the tiles and set in such a way. The final step, set the wood circle tile above patio table, tighten with the screws, and tile patio table is ready for us to use and will enhance our patio decor in overall.
